In Wallonia, people have been busy for years improving the watermanagement. And the recent events in Vervier and its surroundings prove once again that this is necessary.
SUBMAR recently completed three small construction pits, each one was quite a challenge.
Due to the high ground pressure, dredging the construction pit was a race against time. Immediately after dredging, the ground relaxed time and again and rose a little higher, which compromised the dimensions of the concrete floor. It was therefore decided to dredge a very precise over depth and immediately afterwards level it, make it silt-free, drill and glue the reinforcement rods in and immediately after that pour the concrete floor.
We have succeeded three times!
