Our two professional women divers were excited when they heard that Submar had won the contract to lay 130 metres of welding seam on a sheet pile wall in the Port of Zeebrugge. They couldn’t get away from the yard!
Marie, with her 4 years of experience as a professional welder, picked out the best welding procedure in advance. On pieces of sheet in a water tank, she did test after test after test, until we had determined the best electrodes and the correct welding procedure.
Despite the harsh weather both Marie and Verena did very regular dives of up to 2 hours long. There were moments the couldn’t be dragged out of the water!
