On 3 and 4 June 2026, SUBMAR attended the SPE Well Decommissioning Conference at P&J Live in Aberdeen, bringing together leading operators, contractors, service providers, and industry experts from across the well decommissioning sector.
The conference provided an excellent platform for knowledge sharing, with presentations and discussions covering a wide range of topics, including lessons learned from decommissioning projects, evolving regulations, emerging technologies, operational challenges, and industry best practices. The event highlighted the importance of collaboration and innovation in driving safer, more efficient, and cost-effective well abandonment operations.
A key highlight for SUBMAR was the opportunity to present on 4 June 2026, where the company was invited to showcase its innovative Multistring Cutting Technology. During the presentation, SUBMAR provided valuable insights into the development and application of the technology, demonstrating how it can significantly improve cutting efficiency in well decommissioning projects.
The presentation focused on the technology’s ability to deliver substantial cost and time savings by enabling the simultaneous cutting of multistring wells, reducing operational complexity and minimizing offshore intervention time.
