From 25 to 29 May 2026, SUBMAR had the pleasure of attending Decom Week in Aberdeen, organized by Decom Mission. Throughout the week, our team followed a range of insightful presentations and discussions covering topics such as the growing importance of renewable energy decommissioning, safety considerations during decommissioning projects, and lessons learned from decommissioning activities beyond the North Sea region. These sessions highlighted the evolving nature of the sector and the increasing need for collaboration and innovation as new decommissioning challenges emerge.
Beyond the technical content, Decom Week provided a valuable opportunity to reconnect with existing industry partners and colleagues while also meeting new companies and professionals active within the decommissioning industry. The event facilitated meaningful conversations and opened the door to potential new partnerships that can contribute to future projects and shared success.
